Each year there are approximately 1000 reported workplace accidents involving electrical shock, or flash over burns, of this figure in excess of 20 are FATAL

If you are an employer it is your legal responsibility to ensure that all electrical equipment either portable or fixed is safe and offers no risks. The detailed responsibilities are described under the Electricity at Works regulations and the Corporate Manslaughter Act.
